The Ardent Prayer was a Covenant Ceudar-pattern heavy corvette attached to the Fleet of Valiant Prudence. Its Shipmaster was Ardo 'Moretumee.[3] The vessel took part in the initial stages of the Covenant's invasion of the planet Reach in summer 2552.[2][4]
Operational History[edit]
The Ardent Prayer was launched from its shipyard during the Fifteenth Age of Discovery in 2070,[5] having being designed and by the Forgemasters of Tanus and the Gorgon Assembly Vault under the watchful eyes of Master Shipwright Ckmu 'Raboree and Apprentice Hiveseeker Tek'ch. It was assigned as an exploration vessel, traveling to distant stars and charting dangerous slipspace routes, and fought hostile civilizations that would not accept the Covenant's religion. Unfortunately, the Ardent Prayer would gain no battle honors for its service and its duties were considered beneath the notice of true warriors. As a result, it was rarely mentioned in High Charity's records.[1]
