Zealot is a Kig-Yar rank, presumably the highest rank attainable by Kig-Yar in the Covenant military.[1][note 1]

- ^ There are currently no known Kig-Yar Zealots mentioned in the canon. Zhar from the book Halo: Contact Harvest was once thought to be a Zealot, but this was based on a misreading of an insult directed toward Dadab, an Unggoy Deacon. The Essential Visual Guide's assertion that Zealot is a Kig-Yar rank seems to be based on the aforementioned assumption, which had previously been presented as fact on Halopedia.
