Flag Dropped
Flag Dropped is a Halo 3 multiplayer achievement added in TU2, which was unlocked by earning two Flag Carrier Kills in a single ranked or social match on a Legendary or Mythic map.[1]
It is worth 25 Gamerscore.
Following the shutdown of Xbox 360 Halo online services on January 13, 2022, this achievement is no longer attainable.[2][3]
Tactics[edit]
- Generally, this achievement was easy, but it still required some luck. Hiding near the flag if it was near a corner would help, though players needed to watch out for a Flag Carrier's melee.
- If played on Avalanche, the easiest way was to get a Spartan Laser, then if the Flag Carrier got in a vehicle like a Warthog, they could kill them with one shot from their laser.
- The Sniper Rifle was also useful, but if the Flag Carrier was protected by a Bubble Shield or Regenerator, the sniper would be useless. If the Flag Carrier was on a vehicle, it could be tricky to execute an accurate shot.
- Another tactic on Avalanche was to get the shotgun and wait at your base for someone to take the flag, a tactic which required a lot of patience.
