- "Brother 'Crolunee, rejoice, for the green monster is no more, banished by the righteous might of our forces. My Needler has never had truer aim. Each shard unerringly found its mark across the field of battle. Why, even now, the Unggoy make sport with the green abomination's helmet."
- — Ustaf 'Nbekee.
This unidentified operator was a Spartan supersoldier affiliated with the United Nations Space Command. This Spartan was deployed to Harvest during the Harvest campaign, where, during an engagement at a Covenant methane refinery, they were killed by Sangheili Ustaf 'Nbekee with a Needler.[1]
Biography[edit]
Harvest campaign[edit]
This Spartan was deployed to Harvest during the Harvest campaign. In a ground engagement on February 4, 2531, at a methane refinery near the relic the Covenant found, this Spartan single-handedly fought 25 Covenant soldiers. The Spartan killed seven Covenant soldiers, but was quickly killed by the Sangheili Ustaf 'Nbekee with a Needler. As a war prize, the Unggoy under 'Nbekee's command were allowed to play games with the Spartan's helmet.[1]
Production notes[edit]
This Spartan's only appearance is in a brief vignette on the now-defunct official Halo Wars viral website, in which their identity and gender went unmentioned. The vignette uses gameplay footage from Halo Wars, and therefore depicts the Spartan as someone wearing a shielded MJOLNIR Mark IV armor.[1] In Canon Fodder issue 171, Alex Wakeford discussed the identity of this Spartan in a section that clarified the fate of every known Spartans who survived, were crippled, or died during the augmentation process. In the absence of a proper identity for this Spartan, Wakeford concluded that they were never explicitly mentioned as a Spartan-II on the website—dismissing the vignette footage as it was long gone and defunct—then finally hinted that this Spartan may be an ORION operative that has appeared before.[2]
