Sekibo district

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

The Sekibo district is a compound in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Earth.[1] It was named after Unified Earth Government ambassador Richard Sekibo after his death at the peace talks on Biko.[2]

Overview[edit]

According to Arturo Bustamante, Sekibo district is akin to an "antechamber" to the main Sangheili settlement, which is itself heavily fenced off by barbed wire, defensive emplacements, and security personnel. The district is host to numerous old buildings that were converted to housing for 1,500 asylum seekers, though the architecture have largely retained the human design which do not completely accommodate the proportions of a Sangheili. The Sangheili asylum seekers have built makeshift workshops and restaurants. Father Gustavo Barbosa serves as the priest for a small church in the district.[2]

History[edit]

By 2558, the compound was occupied with Sangheili and Unggoy asylum seekers. Arturo Bustamante would visit the compound and a Sangheili-owned restaurant around that time.[2]
