An easy way to get this achievement was to acquire the [[Gravity hammer (fiction)|gravity hammer]] on [[Guardian (map)|Guardian]], stay in the shadows, and just smash players as they came around corners. The same worked on levels with [[Energy Swords]], such as [[The Pit (level)|The Pit]]. Another way to get it was to use cloaking and try to sneak around an enemy or two. Also, a good strategy on Guardian was to hang out outside the main building with a Gravity Hammer, and smash people as they come around corners. Up Close and Personal is an achievement in Halo 3. It was awarded for killing 5 enemies by melee or assassination in a ranked free for all playlist.
Following the shutdown of Xbox 360 Halo online services on January 13, 2022, this achievement is no longer attainable.[1][2]
Rewards[edit]
Unlocking this achievement provides the following rewards;
- 5
- Ascetic chest armor permutation for use by Elite characters.
Tips[edit]
An easy way to get this achievement was to acquire the gravity hammer on Guardian, stay in the shadows, and just smash players as they came around corners.
