Vidmaster Challenge: Lightswitch

Vidmaster Challenge: Lightswitch is a Halo 3 achievement added in Title Update 2, in which the player must achieve the rank of 
Lieutenant in any playlist in the TU2 EXP progression system.[2] It is represented by a Lieutenant rank insignia on a green Marathon symbol.
Prior to March 31, 2012 the achievement was necessary in order to unlock Recon armor, as part of the Road to Recon. After this date, Bungie.net's online stat-tracking services were discontinued and the armor was given out to all players by 343 Industries in two waves, and is no longer accessible. Following the shutdown of Xbox 360 Halo online services in December 2021, this achievement will no longer be attainable.[3]
Trivia
- The achievement was named so because of the Lieutenant insignia's similarity with a household light switch.
- Keep in mind that reaching the overall rank of Lieutenant will not unlock the achievement. As the description states, Lieutenant must be achieved in a single playlist, such as Social Slayer.
