A Humbler Stun Device as portrayed in the Halo Graphic Novel.
A Humbler wielded by an ODST.

The Humbler Stun Device is a silver colored, nonlethal electrical baton weapon used by the UNSC Marines and police mostly for "motivating" others in a painful way, but with no long-lasting effects.

When the Spartan children first arrived at Reach in 2517, the batons were used by Chief Petty Officer Mendez to "motivate" them at first, though they soon grew to cooperate with him and the devices were not needed.[1]

These devices are also used by police forces to subdue suspects, as noted by Aiden Maki.[2]

The Humbler Stun Device was also used by Office of Naval Intelligence interrogators on Insurrectionist prisoners.[3]

They were also used by bouncers at a Chicago club, at which, they tried to use the devices on Avery Johnson.[4]
