Peoples' Resistance of Mombasa

The Peoples' Resistance of Mombasa is a militia organisation active in the city of Mombasa c.November 2559. They were formed in response to the Created subjugation of Earth beginning in October 2558, with the goal of resisting the occupation and retaking the city.[1]
Overview[edit]
The Peoples' Resistance are comprised of many individual members throughout both Old Mombasa and New Mombasa. The group finds it easier to operate in the old city in part due to its relative lack of electronic infrastructure as compard to the newer sections, in combination with Insurrectionist and Banished activity in New Mombasa, which make it harder for the Created to surveil the populace. Many of its members operate in secrecy and communicate via coded messages.[1]
The resistance has some level of connection with the United Nations Space Command, and as such, is able to receive limited amounts of intelligence and military support from them. In November 2559, this included the deployment of a SPARTAN-IV supersoldier, Jengo Farouk. Despite their overall allegiance with the Unified Earth Government, their members use texts written by famous Insurrection-era rebels such as Yera Sabinus for inspiration in their resistance against the Created.[1]
