Escala III is human colony world located among the Outer Colonies, in the Escala system. The planet's capital is Castiglione.

An urban area located alongside a waterway in Castiglione featured decorative trees and bushes.[2]

Post-war
The planet appears to have been left unscathed throughout the Human-Covenant War. In 2558, Captain Thomas Lasky and Spartan Naiya Ray arrived on Escala III in search of the journalist, Petra Janecek.[2]
