Spartan Abalan is a SPARTAN-IV supersoldier serving in the United Nations Space Command's Spartan Operations division. She is one of the Spartans attached to Fireteam Jorogumo, a unit involved in joint-operations with the Swords of Sanghelios on Sanghelios.[1]
Biography[edit]
Early life and career[edit]
Abalan grew up with multiple brothers, though both of them were eventually killed for unknown reasons. In her early career she joined up in the UNSC Marine Corps and eventually served as an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper (ODST) for multiple years. During this time she worked on several protection assignments. After the Human-Covenant War's end, she was chosen to become a SPARTAN-IV.[1]
Spartan joint-operations[edit]
By 2560, Abalan was assigned to Fireteam Jorogumo as part of the joint-operations unit tasked with working alongside Swords of Sanghelios Sangheili on their homeworld. Abalan worked under Joromugo Two during this time. On January 4 of that year, she was tasked with escorting the Sangheili weaponsmith brothers Oebrin and Silset 'Chava to the Sanghelios moon of Qikost in order to explore some caverns and ruins from the early eras of the old Covenant empire. During such an expedition, the trio stumbled upon an old San'Shyuum vault sealed with an arum. Once unlocked, the vault was found to contain multiple Vestige Carbines from the Third Age of Reclamation. The group took four, with the 'Chava brothers choosing to gift one of them to Abalan.[1]
Equipment[edit]
In her January 2560 expedition to Qikost, Abalan wielded a Mosa-pattern carbine. However, during the expedition, the 'Chava brothers chose to gift her one of the Vestige Carbines found inside the Qikost vault.[1]
