Incineration

Incineration is a kill medal awarded in Halo 3 Multiplayer for killing an opponent with a flame-based weapon such as the Flamethrower or Fire Bomb Grenade. It is represented by a 16-pointed star with a flaming skull in the middle of it.

Currently, the only map this medal may be earned and achieved on in Matchmaking is Construct. Construct contains the only fire-based weapon in any standard Halo 3 multiplayer level; a single Flamethrower in the center of the lowest section and portion of the map.

Also, the Flamethrower is the only incineration weapon that has appeared in Matchmaking, the Fire Bomb Grenade has yet to appear in a match made game because of balancing issues.

Although fire is required to earn the medal, one can earn an incineration medal without actually being the one who caused the fire. Proof of this has been filmed by a Spartan who goes by the Gamertag of Gnoizic and can be watched here [1] from Gnoizic's File Share as he earns the medal by shooting down a burning opponent with an Assault Rifle.
