The Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition is a special edition of Halo 4 which cost $49.99 USD in the United States at the time of its release on October 8, 2013.[1] It contains some additional content that were previously only available on pre-order in some stores.[2]
Contents
The Game of the Year edition is presented with a new cover art: a detailed shot of John-117's helmet with the Didact's Cryptum reflected in his visor.[3]

- War Games map pack - Unlocks the Majestic, Castle and Crimson map packs.
- Spartan Ops Season 1
- Champions Bundle - With the Infinity Armor Pack, the Bullseye Map Pack, the Steel Weapon Pack, and several exclusive content.
- Six armor skins - Forest for HAZOP, Circuit for Oceanic, Web for CIO, Raptor for Venator, Pulse for GUNGNIR, and Prime for Recruit.
- Four helmets: Strider, Scanner, Locus, and Deadeye.
- Eight emblems - MJOLNIR, Spartan, Bulletproof, Assassin, Bonebreaker, Prime, Falcon, and Corbulo.
- Three weapon skins - Arctic for the Battle Rifle, Imprint for the Lightrifle and Prime for the Assault Rifle.
