The Artifice

The Artifice was a data center located at an outlying facility near Avery J. Johnson Academy of Military Science on the planet Nysa.[1]

During the Banished invasion of Nysa, Iratus attempted to gain control of the facility. "Rook" was tasked by Commander Agryna with deploying to the site and enacting the Cole Protocol to prevent Iratus from accessing sensitive UNSC data. After deploying their personal AI, "Rook" destroyed five power cores and successfully prevented Iratus from retrieving the system's data.[1] Chief Engineer Hannah Roberts would receive a broadcast from facility personnel reporting the mission was a success, relaying the news to Commander Agryna. Spartan Hieu Dinh would respond, "Sounds like Rook really gave 'em hell out there."[2]
