Post-war conflicts[edit]

I am assuming this is not going to technically be a part of the post-war conflicts page, or was this created (LOLOLOLOLOLOL) prematurely? Alertfiend - Warning, my comments may appear passive aggressive. (Converse) 18:05, 8 June 2016 (EDT)

I was thinking that it would the successor to the Post-Covenant War conflicts for now, but I guess it is technically part of it and we should probably treat it as such for now. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 19:54, 8 June 2016 (EDT)
Unless the Created conflict ends up being large enough to span a decade or so, we don't know it will be significant enough to scale the Human-Covenant war.Editorguy (talk) 04:45, 23 February 2017 (EST)

Shouldn't it be called "The Reclamation?"[edit]

Halo 5 - Blue Team - Cortana - "The Reclamation has begun!" Editorguy (talk) 01:43, 30 June 2018 (EDT)

There’s at least two sides to a war, we haven’t gone past like a week at best, and I wouldn’t expect an official name for the conflict anytime soon. Besides, there’s too much controversy to be had with “Reclamation” coming from someone many wouldn’t consider to be Human. Thus far this war has been a one-sided affair with the Created decapitating Earth and Sanghelios from the rest of the galactic community. They posed the two greatest threats to the Created, the Guardian network, and the Prometheans. If that’s the Reclamation, then it’s came to pass. Mickey’s quote from Bad Blood that I submitted to the header of this article sums up what the dynamic of this fight is all about now. Helianthus All right. Shoot!
Largely what Helianthus said. "The Reclamation" is more of the opening battle and dispersal of the Guardians while the Created conflict is the war itself. AlertFiend - Warning, my comments may appear passive aggressive. (Converse) 20:29, 1 July 2018 (EDT)

Rename to "Pax Cortana"[edit]

Per page 43 of Shadows of Reach, this era appears to be called the Pax Cortana, or is at least referred to as such by the Master Chief. Is that enough to rename the conflict? -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 01:59, December 16, 2020 (EST)

It's an era, not the conflict. Chief only refers Pax Cortana as an era, not a conflict, just like Post-Covenant War conflicts. Ramero (talk) 06:09, December 16, 2020 (EST)
I agree with this. Certainly an era for consideration as part of the overall timelines project, but one as equal to the Domus Diaspora or the Post-War era. Not specifically the individual conflict itself.BaconShelf - The Inners Will Never See Them Coming (talk) 09:21, December 16, 2020 (EST)
Disagree, a conflict can cover an era. Just as the Human-Covenant War was an era. Renaming is a good idea Editorguy (talk) 03:12, April 23, 2021 (EDT)
I disagree with renaming the Created conflict page "Pax Cortana" for a few reasons. Separate to the era/conflict debate, Pax Cortana is an allusion to the historic periods of Pax Romana and Pax Britannica. Due to that, it wouldn't fit with the mass fighting seen in the early part of the conflict. I would argue it would only really be applicable to the period after The Reclamation since that time frame seems to be relatively peaceful, fitting the term more better. Though the wording in Shadows of Reach's statement doesn't seem to give enough context at the moment to decide one way or another.CMDR RileySV (talk) 18:27, May 2, 2021 (EDT)
