Overview
The track opens with synthesizers before strings enter with a slow and melancholic melody. Halfway through, synthesizers join in, briefly taking over before strings return in a dramatic reprise of the melody. The track ends with digital effects and synthesizers fading out.

The track plays randomly as a backing track during gameplay on any campaign or Skirmish level in Halo Wars set on Arcadia, including:

Prior to the release of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and the accompanying Halo Waypoint title update , the track also played in the "Press Start" screen of Halo: Waypoint on Xbox 360.
