Vidmaster Challenge: 7 on 7 is an achievement released with TU2, in which the player must to enter a ranked or social playlist with 7 EXP on the 7th day of any month [2]. This doesn't mean you have to start off with 6 in total and advance to 7. Instead, all you have to do is gain 7 points within that day. Example: If you have 100 points in total, make it to 107. The achievement's sign is the Marathon symbol and the number 7.
This Vidmaster achievement does not give you any gamerscore points, but if you unlock all Vidmaster Challenge achievements, including those that come with Halo 3: ODST', you will unlock the Recon Armor for your personal use.
In order to help gamers achieve this, Bungie created the 7 on the 7th playlist on the seventh of every month, where each player has zero experience in the playlist. Another easy way to attain this achievement is to earn 7 experience in before the seventh of the month, so as to avoid crowds and such on the day. Log in on the seventh, and get it without much hassle. Do this in either a playlist you don't frequent, or stop playing that playlist altogether. If you happen to have 7 experience, all you would have to do is enter the Matchmaking lobby. You don't have to go and search for another game if you already have 7 EXP. It is also possible to enter a double exp weekend playlist and quit out (resulting in a -1 to exp) making it even easier to get.
