Top Gungoose
Top Gungoose is an achievement in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It is unlocked by killing an enemy with a Gungoose while airborne in Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer. The achievement is worth 10 gamerpoints and can be unlocked in both matchmaking and custom games.
Tips
- The easiest method to unlock the achievement is to play a custom match. The player looking to unlock the achievement shoots a second player with a Gungoose then gets themselves airborne, preferably through a man cannon as this will result in a longer hang time. While the Gungoose is still airborne and before their own shields recharge, the second player commits suicide with a rocket launcher. Because the airborne player damaged the second player before their death, they will be credited with the kill and unlock the achievement.
- Another method is to drive a Gungoose off a high point or through a man cannon and land on the target player, splattering them before hitting the ground. However, it can be difficult to anticipate exactly where the Gungoose will land, and even then the impact of the Gungoose may not be enough to result in a splatter unless the target's shields are already damaged. Likewise, if any part of the Gungoose is touching the ground when the kill is registered, the achievement will not unlock.
