A Spartan-IV ejects a spent M296 shell from his M45D.
The M296 Magnum (also known as the M296 TS)[1] is an 8 gauge shell used by Misriah Armory's M45 Tactical Shotgun.[2]
Trivia
Halo Waypoint erroneously refers to the M296 as an 18.5mm cartridge, which would make it 12 gauge. All other sources identify the M296 as 8 gauge.[2]
