He was somewhat sarcastic and cynical, though a compotent co-pilot. He was at Rawley's side when they fled the ship as the ''Autumn'' was shot down over [[Installation 04]] and flew with her throughout [[The Battle of Installation 04]]. He was with her when they ferried [[Marine]]s and the [[Master Chief]], from helping them rescue crash survivors in [[Bumblebee]] pods, to dropping them at the [[Covenant]] ship, the ''[[Truth and Reconciliation]]'', and also brought them to the [[Silent Cartographer]], [[Control Room]], and the [[Flood Containment Facility]]. After they dropped the [[Master Chief]] off at the [[Flood Containment Facilities]] to find [[Captain Keyes]], Frye pointed out a [[Sentinel]] to his Captain. He likely died when his dropship was shot down by [[Banshees]] on the level [[The Maw]]. He was not heard of in [[Halo: Combat Evolved]].

Frye was a UNSC Pelican co-pilot. In 2552, he was assigned to the UNSC Pillar of Autumn and the 23rd Naval Air Squadron as co-pilot to Dropship Echo 419, under Captain Carol "Foehammer" Rawley.[1]

Battle of Installation 04[edit]

Frye was able to escape the Autumn along with the rest of Echo 419's air crew - including Rawley and Cullen - as it was shot down over Installation 04. He would proceed to fly with her throughout the Battle of Installation 04.[1] Frye was present in Echo 419's cockpit during the outbreak of the Flood at the Flood containment facility on September 20, where he was able to exclaim his surprise at the surprise appearance of Aggressor Sentinels in the facility swamps.[2]

Frye's fate following September 20 is uncertain, though he was presumably killed by the time of Echo 419, and Installation 04's, destruction on September 22.
