Epilogue is the twelfth and final track in Halo 2: Original Soundtrack, Volume 2. It is composed of Epilogue (0:00-1:03), Beholden (1:03-3:22), and Road to Voi (3:22-3:49).

Epilogue (1:03) begins with two reprises of the opening string melody of Impend (itself a reorchestration of the ending to Brothers in Arms). The second reprise features an electric guitar part played by American musician John Mayer, but his involvement was kept a secret by Martin O'Donnell until the 2014 documentary Remaking the Legend. According to O'Donnell, there was no contractual agreement between the parties, and neither Microsoft nor Mayer's agent were aware of his contribution. Mayer wanted to keep it a secret so he could tell his friends he was featured in the game. This piece plays first in the ending credits in Halo 2.

Beholden (2:19) is a strings-only reprise of Respite from High Charity Suite. The piece plays last in the ending credits in Halo 2.

Road to Voi (0:27) features eerie ambiance, and plays the Epilogue cutscene, in which Gravemind approaches Cortana in the High Council Chamber of High Charity. The name alludes to the involvement of Voi in Halo 3.
