Hey Nicmavr! I actually favor Talk Pages over boards; though the potential privacy of private board messages is gone, on Talk Pages you can correct spelling and formatting if you make a mistake (in fact it's harder to make a mistake)! You can press the preview button to see if the message is to your liking, and most of all, it seems formal and convenient. Have you gotten the Mythic Map Pack (Sandbox) or Halo Wars yet? I love them both! I hope the next user group term elections start soon... You know what I figured out? This: search Kougermasters in the search bar. Please reply via Talk Page. Stub templates
I've noticed that you prefer that stub templates be applied to the top of an article. I disagree with that, because by wiki convention, it should be the other way around. The article is probably too short if the stub template can be seen at the bottom! If you want to make the stub template more noticeable, I can make adjustments to it. - Well, I don't just prefer it. It's just because the stub template is at the top in just about every stub article in Halopedia. As for making chages to it, that is something you need to ask the administration about, since I have no authority in the mainly used templates. - It's not necessarily a rule. I just have them at the top because everyone else does the same, and because most of us here think that it's design, shape, etc makes it better at the top. T&R undo
On my recent addition to the truth on reconciliation:
Acctually if u ever played all three trilogy games, you'd know that the T&R is a CCS cruiser whilst the Shadow is an assault Carrier. Spec Ops Elite
Hey, you made a thing wrong.
I saw the tactics against the Spec Ops Elites and it said Fuel Rod Cannon, but the Fuel Rod Cannon is the AA Wraith weapon, and I tried to correct. Why did you delete it?

- The Fuel Rod Cannon isn't necessarily the Wraith weapon. Its mounted on Banshees and other vehicles, and its also the the Halo 2 and 3 era Fuel Rod Gun. The two are often confused with one another. The Fuel Rod Cannon is used as a weapon in Halo 2 and 3, the one used by Grunts in Halo CE is the Fuel Rod Gun. - The templates I deleted, while you may have changed them, were still causing problems because they were still in the Template: namespace. - I received no alerts of your messages, so I was not aware of them untill recently, I only received a message from Sketch. Some templates that I require are not available in Halopedia, so I have to create them, some of the templates that I create exists to support the others.

Bot
I saw you operated a bot on this wiki, and I wondered if I could ask a couple of questions. I was looking at creating a bot to update Challenges based on http://www.bungie.net/stats/reach/globalchallenges.aspx, which itself is updated by Bungie every morning at 9UTC. I've been organizing a record of all previous challenges on Challenges/2010-September manually so far.
I haven't created a bot before, though I'm a software engineer so I'm up for the challenge. My question is how do I go about getting started? I see AutoWikiBrowser and Pywikipediabot, but how do I got about setting it up, getting permission to run it? Would I have to run it from my own computer each day? Or is this a bad idea in the first place :)

I've had another go at it, but i don't see how "assuming" and "speculation" are any different when it comes to this source material as the previous edit includes Assumptions which can't be classed as fact.
my new edit considers the hint dropping from bungie regarding "lone wolf" and "there'll be another time." as assumption also so it should remain valid.

Userpage Help
Hello Nic.
Anyway. You know on your userpage you have Noble Team a a background image and then you have these non-transparent black boxes with writing in them? Well, thats the problem. I looked at the source of your page and it had this (The major part was copy and pasted):

The word "noble" is the problem (The " ' ' ' " was a fail for making the word bold, until I realised it was source wording) . I also checked the source of Subtank's page and instead the word "rookie" was in the place of your "noble". For my page, the lower area has a Doomed.png image then a grey box with my information in it. That entire section was a failed experiment. What I really wanted was a non-transparent black box over the Doomed image like earlier in the page. Thats what I need help with. Thanks! - Quite simple to solve this. Nicmavr: add the following on Common and Wikia.

Fix this

Hi Nicmavr. Since you've been editing MediaWiki:Wiki-navigation, I wanted to bring to your attention (which you probably already know) that the current version of the navigation doesn't have any links to the wiki's content. With Reach still being a fairly new release, most (if not all) people coming to the wiki will be looking for information about it, so I wanted to ask why you made the decision to only link to policies, help pages, and foreign langauge Halo wikis, and to encourage you to add links to actual content, especially Reach. - I understand the difficulty of trying to fit all the important links into a 4x7 structure, especially for a wiki such as Halopedia. I agree that plenty of incoming traffic will be directly to the Halo: Reach article (or related articles) from search engines, but once a person gets here via Google, it would be very convenient for the person to be able to navigate between the major categories of Reach by using the nav bar that appears on every page, as opposed to having to go back to the Reach article or type something into the search bar. Obviously it's up to you admins to decide how to use the nav bar, but I would suggest that using one of the drop down menus to link to Reach categories is more valuable to the wiki's visitors than linking to alternative language versions of the wiki. Hey Nicmavr,
I noticed that on the new theme for Halopedia the image does not fill the entire page and doesn't look too spiffy. I think it would be pretty awesome if we could make the page transparent and the background image fixed. I've done this for the Halo Stunting Wiki, and I think it would be fairly easy for you guys to do it here. I'm willing to help if it's needed. (I sent you this because you were the last person to edit the page).

Aircraft intrest?
Just curious, What type of aircraft do you like? For me, I like both fighter jets and civilian aircraft. Hopefully I can work for Boeing or Sikorsky to be an aircraft designer.
