Operation: LEFT JAB
Operation: LEFT JAB was a United Nations Space Command naval operation undertaken during the Fall of Reach on August 14, 2552. Working in concert with Operation: UPPER CUT, the operation succeeded in distracting and fragmenting the Fleet of Valiant Prudence, allowing its flagship, the Sh'wada-pattern supercarrier Long Night of Solace, to be destroyed by the Spartans of NOBLE Team.
History
Background
The Fleet of Valiant Prudence, under the command of Supreme Commander Rho 'Barutamee of the Ministry of Fervent Intercession, arrived on the human fortress world of Reach in the Epsilon Eridani system on or about July 23, 2552, and immediately undertook preparations to secure various Forerunner artifacts found on the planet and throughout the system.
UNSC Strength - Battle Group 1: One Epoch-Class Heavy Carrier; seven Paris-class Frigates; One wing of three Broadswords; ditto Longswords. Battle Group 2: two Marathon-Class cruisers; six Paris class frigates; one wing of four broadswords.
Covenant Strength - Battle Group 1: One ORS class heavy cruiser; three SVD class corvettes, one wing of three Seraph fighters; one wing of four Tarasque bombers. Battle Group two: One CCS Battle cruiser; two SDV corvettes; one wing of three Tarasque bombers.
