The thruster is a piece of UNSC infantry equipment compatible with the MJOLNIR (GEN3) armor.[2][3][4]
Overview
Design details
The thruster module is attached to a Spartan-IV's lower back. It features two thrusters,[5] allowing the user to perform rapid maneuvers upon activation.[2] It can be upgraded with the ability to shroud its user in an active camouflage field; one such unit is used by Spartan-II Kelly-087, with additional overclocking to reduce the thruster's cooldown time at the expense of reducing how long the camouflage can remain active for. For Kelly, this modification is well-suited to her already-impressive speed, allowing her to appear as though she is blinking in and out of thin air, confusing enemies.[6]
Operational History
A modified thruster pack was used by Kelly-087 on KC-59 and aboard Perihelion Station during the testing of her new GEN3 MJOLNIR armor in September 2559.[6] They continued to be used by Spartans operating on Installation 07 during their prolonged campaign between December 2559 and 2560. While searching the Conservatory on Installation 07, John-117 retrieved a thruster module from the body of Spartan Theodore Sorel.[1]

The thruster is a piece of usable equipment in Halo Infinite, which the player can use to move rapidly to any direction on the horizontal plane.
Upgrades
In campaign, the thruster is acquired from the body of Spartan Sorel in the level Conservatory; then it can be upgraded by collecting and spending Spartan cores. In multiplayer, the fully-upgraded thruster can be selected as "Thruster (Campaign)" under Sandbox settings. In Forge, the fully-upgraded thruster can spawn at an equipment pad by enabling the Legendary variant option.
