The book is divided into several sections, with several human food in each section: World Cuisine, UNSC High Fleet Dining, Havadi Goodwan, Fronk's, Vending Machines, Have S'Moa, Enzo's Churrascaria, Maeyamas Noodle Bar, Thai Game, Kuku's Cafe, Jim Dandy, and Full Moon.

The book's meta-narrative is framed as a compilation made by Arturo Bustamante about several human foods, along with their recipes and personal experiences with different human dishes.
