Smart-assist splint

The smart-assist splint is a piece of UNSC medical equipment.
Overview[edit]
It was smart, malleable nanocarbon strips that stuck to the skin and the bottoms of the feet, creating an energy field around an affected limb, which offered protection and mobility assistance while alleviating some of the more painful effects of gravity.[1]
History[edit]
During SPARTAN-II training on Reach, John-117 suffered a number of injuries which required him to use smart-assist splints.
On June 6, 2560, Dr. Shoff outfitted Lucas Browning with smart-assist splints to allow mobility to his legs while Browning's bones and muscles healed from the damage they had suffered under Banished torture.[1]
