- HALO: REACH
- CAMPAIGN PREVIEW WITH BUNGIE'S AUDIO GURUS
- Martin O'Donnell: Alright, we're starting co-op campaign... This is exciting.
- Jay Weinland: Oh, it's very exciting.
- Martin O'Donnell: Tip of the Spear, baby.
- Jay Weinland: Tip of the Spear. Bring it.
- Martin O'Donnell: This piece playing right now... it's called "Unreconciled", because it sort of reminds me of Truth and Reconciliation.
- Jay Weinland: There you go. This is one of my favorite cinematics.
- Martin O'Donnell: Auntie Dot. Yes. She's not a very intelligent AI. She has no real emotion. I don't know if you noticed that.
- Jay Weinland: Yeah. Well, we tried to make it sound as dry as possible. I think C. Paul did a real nice job in here and trying to give the sense of lots of vehicles and so on. Although, I'm still bummed we removed the "time to bake that cake."
- Martin O'Donnell: Supposed to happen real soon. "Time to bake that cake we made last night."
- Jay Weinland: "Time to bake that cake."
- Martin O'Donnell: You know, I still heard a little click in all this chaos. You know, we should double-check to see if that's still in the English subtitles.
- Jay Weinland: Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is in the subtitles.
- Martin O'Donnell: Alright, I mean, that's good. Baking cake since last night.
- Jay Weinland: Oh, I'm player two, I am the one sitting in... Oh, I see. It has me sitting in the front seat on my screen, and you're sitting on the front seat in your screen.
- Martin O'Donnell: Kat's the one that's driving. Oh, I see. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's sorta... Why are we both not sitting in the front seat?
- Jay Weinland: Okay, wait for the flying lemurs.
- Martin O'Donnell: Oh! That was the flying lemurs!
- Jay Weinland: There was not the flying lemurs anymore, but it used to be. I loved how in development they had this mistake where the gunner was shooting Kat in the butt.
- Martin O'Donnell: Yeah.
- Jay Weinland: That was awesome.
- Martin O'Donnell: That was fun. Alright, here we go. We've got to take these guns off. The turrets.
- Jay Weinland: That's the first thing, you gotta take the turrets out.
- Martin O'Donnell: I wonder if you can take these down. Maybe not. "What's your status?" We are pushing up the hill, dude.
- Jay Weinland: Okay, we got the Elite over on the right.
- Martin O'Donnell: I'm going around to the right. Oh, you're already on the right.
- Jay Weinland: I'm over the right.
- Martin O'Donnell: I'm going left. I think Kat basically does all the heavy work here.
- Jay Weinland: Kat's in the middle.
- Martin O'Donnell: Alright, I'll try to take this first turret down. Oops.
- Jay Weinland: We lost the Elite. Did Kat get the Elite?
- Martin O'Donnell: I think so.
- Jay Weinland: Okay.
- Martin O'Donnell: Well, watch out for that turret. I think I just disabled it.
- Jay Weinland: You just got a Grunt out of it. Yeah.
- Martin O'Donnell: Alright, take the other one. I want to take the other one around here.
- Jay Weinland: Oh god, it's got in the turret again.
- Martin O'Donnell: Okay, the back one? Oh, crap.
- Jay Weinland: Alright, I just killed that guy.
- Martin O'Donnell: Here we go.
- Jay Weinland: I'll try to blow up the turret, so no one else can get in it.
- Martin O'Donnell: I got the second one.
- Jay Weinland: I got it.
- Martin O'Donnell: Oh, I can get in it.
- Jay Weinland: Yeah, you can get in it. Don't shoot me.
- Martin O'Donnell: I so want to shoot you here, Jay.
- Jay Weinland: No, it's not okay. We're trying to co-op. It's called "cooperative." I love the way the occlusion structure works on this river.
- Martin O'Donnell: I see you listening to it. Jay, you gotta be shooting instead of listening.
- Jay Weinland: Everyone should go and check- smell the roses when you're playing this game... or in this case, listen to the roses.
- Martin O'Donnell: I'll drive. You get rid of the guy in the back.
- Jay Weinland: Yeah, sorry, dude.
- Martin O'Donnell: Alright, Jay.
- Jay Weinland: Bring it.
- Martin O'Donnell: What did he say?
- Jay Weinland: Don't know. He didn't say anything that time.
- Martin O'Donnell: Look at that. Halo driving music.
- Jay Weinland: Never heard of such a thing. Alright, now let's see how many times I can almost blow us up with the rockets. Yeah, we are "within visual range."
- Martin O'Donnell: Oh, Kat. You know, I have to say, there looks like some pretty expert driving going on here... and some really lame shooting.
- Jay Weinland: I don't know, you kept putting me in front of rocks and I end up blowing us up.
- Martin O'Donnell: Uh-oh, it's a Ghost over here. Now, was that a Ghost?
- Jay Weinland: Where's the Ghost? Uh-oh, somebody got us with a charged bolt.
- Martin O'Donnell: Get that guy. Alright, we'll go back to the gun. We'll do the right thing instead of the wrong thing.
- Jay Weinland: That's no fun. Alright, so there's a few errant rockets.
- Martin O'Donnell: There's a... Revenant. You missed. All you've hit was the rock, Jay.
- Jay Weinland: I tried, but you got the rock in my way.
- Martin O'Donnell: Man, get that Revenant! Ouch!
- Jay Weinland: Ouch! Sorry.
- Martin O'Donnell: Ooo, nice ringing in my ears... Jay.
- Jay Weinland: Alright, so that one was a full-on six-figure miss right there.
- Martin O'Donnell: I can tell you're an audio guy, you're not shooting.
- Jay Weinland: It's your driving. Usually I would do the shooting for me. I don't know anything about this shooting thing.
- Martin O'Donnell: Okay, we'll get these guys first.
- Jay Weinland: Alright, he's gone.
- Martin O'Donnell: Alright, "Revenant offline."
- Jay Weinland: I'll blow up the platform, just for good measure.
- Martin O'Donnell: Okay. Alright, now there's a big stinkin' Elite over here some place. Right here, gold. Well, Jay, this all sounds so spectacular, I love it.
- Jay Weinland: I know, this is great. This is a great sounding gun.
- Martin O'Donnell: Did you get him?
- Jay Weinland: Is he dead yet? Oh, he's not dead yet. Oh, Marty!
- Martin O'Donnell: Oh, I'm still good! I'm still good!
- Jay Weinland: You survived! I think I got him that time.
- Martin O'Donnell: Alright, you take care of these guys, I'm going in. Ouch.
- Jay Weinland: Oh, sorry!
- Martin O'Donnell: Oh, I'm dead!
- Jay Weinland: I know. That was my fault, sorry.
- Martin O'Donnell: Did you shoot the door... at me?
- Jay Weinland: I probably shot you.
- Martin O'Donnell: I'm going in, I'm going in. Alright, I have to do the magic thing here.
- Jay Weinland: Oh yeah, the magic thing.
- Martin O'Donnell: Hey, it doesn't work! She's supposed to tell me something now, right? Come on, Kat, tell me.
- Jay Weinland: This is a great weapon, we based this off the old Scarab tech. We decided it was the same company that produced this [also] produced the Scarab.
- Jay Weinland: Alright...
- Martin O'Donnell: It's not even exploded yet.
- Jay Weinland: No, here comes the bombers though.
- Martin O'Donnell: Here comes the big... boom!
- Jay Weinland: The bombers are coming right over our heads. Ready? Wait for it...
- Martin O'Donnell: How's it sound? Some very impressive-
- Jay Weinland: Bombers are coming over.
- Martin O'Donnell: There they go.
- Jay Weinland: There they go.
- Martin O'Donnell: Nice. Skies are clear. Alright, see if you can get this Ghost.
- Jay Weinland: And I love those little side guns on the thing. They were fun to work with.
- Martin O'Donnell: Well, you know...
- Jay Weinland: I got him that time.
- Martin O'Donnell: Point-blank range...
- Jay Weinland: I'm only hurting you, it's not hurting me at all.
- Martin O'Donnell: Here comes some dance music.
- Jay Weinland: So, this has been Jay, Marty bringing you Halo insights on Tip of the Spear.
- Martin O'Donnell: Tip of the Spear, good times.
