Ancient history[edit]
In the time of the Forerunner ecumene, a Guardian Custode and some supporting Phaetons were buried in the moon of Dormire III.[1]
Postwar[edit]
During the Created uprising, the Guardian in the moon awoke, ripping it apart. This change to the planet's orbital system wreaked havoc on the planet's tides. The debris would rain down on the planet, though near the end of 2559, the chaos somewhat stabilized. UNSC planetary defense artillery was repurposed and used to help break up larger debris that could have been catastrophic to the surface.[1]
On January 23, 2560, a Banished capital ship would enter the system to try and take the moon, likely in hopes of controlling whatever Forerunner tech remained there. Kona Squadron would be deployed to fight back. Eventually, two of the squadron's pilots would gain control of latent Forerunner Phaetons, driving the Banished's orbital presence out of the system.[1]
