Warrant Officer Brigitte Wolfram is an ex-United Nations Space Command (UNSC) Army servicewoman. She served as a pilot in the Human-Covenant War, flying a UH-144 Falcon in combat operations against the Covenant.[1]
Biography[edit]
Wolfram's grandfather worked as a jumpcraft pilot for the Colonial Military Authority. This meant that from a young age, Brigitte was deeply immersed in aircraft including their engineering history, building models, and visiting air shows with him. As such, when the UNSC put out a call for pilots to backfill civilian air roles during the Human-Covenant War, Brigitte jumped at the chance to get official pilot training. The program she joined was designed to bring in civilian contractors to fill in roles left empty once more experienced pilots were deployed to the front lines of the conflict; the testing phase was designed to figure out which kinds of airframes a given trainee was best-suited for, and Brigitte found herself gravitating towards helicopters - something she thought rather fitting given her family history.[1]
In short order, Wolfram went from a civilian pilot to a military one, and found herself in the cockpit of a UNSC Utility Helicopter-144 "Falcon", a tiltrotor aircraft in common use in the UNSC Army. She found the aircraft "easy to learn, but hard to master", and over time grew to appreciate the craft.[1]
Wolfram ultimately survived the war's end, though was injured in the conflict. Some time in the post-war era, her children were able to track down her old commanding officer (who now worked in military contracting), who was in turn able to pull some strings and trade favours in order to get Brigitte some flying time on one of Misriah Armory's then-newer Falcons. She was interviewed about this, and her war experiences, by Mercury, the Smart AI host of Waypoint Radio, as part of a series of interviews conducted with Covenant War veterans. The interview was recorded by the Office of Naval Intelligence Section Two.[1]

- ^ As per Halo: Official Spartan Field Manual, Brigitte's rank of Warrant Officer is one almost exclusively used by the UNSC Army, as is the Falcon aircraft. As such, it is overwhelmingly likely she served in the UNSC Army.
