Seongnam, also styled Songnam, is a city in the Gyeonggi Province of Korea on Earth.
Background
Seognam was home to the UNSC's Special Warfare Center, where several MJOLNIR armor systems were developed, including Mark VI, the "Black" prototype, and the C variant. A university here also aided in the development of the OF92/EVA Booster Frame.
In 2552, Maria-062 tested the Mark VI armor against a squad of ODSTs in Seongnam, with paint pellet guns, before it was shipped to Cairo Station for John-117.[1]
