Out of Shadow is a song included in the Halo 3: Original Soundtrack. It includes the tracks Out of Shadow and Into Light, and plays during the levels Tsavo Highway and The Ark.
Out of Shadow is the seventh track included in Halo 3: Original Soundtrack, and plays during the Halo 3 campaign level Tsavo Highway. It is composed of Out of Shadow and Into Light.

The track begins with a slow choir and string melody, which is then joined by a percussion rhythm at around 0:33. At 1:20, the choir and double bass take on the theme from Broken Gates/Encounter, from the Mombasa Suite in Halo 2. Electric guitar and drums later join in at 1:45, and the track continues until 2:50. For the rest of the piece, the main melody is played on an electrical/synth sound, similar to that heard in Infiltrate and We're Done Here earlier in the Soundtrack.
Out of Shadow (2:50) begins with a slow choir and string melody, which is then joined by a percussion rhythm. The choir and double bass take on the melody of the third section of Broken Gates from Mombasa Suite (in Halo 2: Original Soundtrack). Digital notes enter, slowly building up in a faster rhythm to match percussion of Broken Gates. Electric guitar and percussion later join in, playing in a faster tempo. The piece ends with the percussion as the final line. The piece plays in the first chapter of the level, with the name alluding to John-117 leading Marines out of the darkened caves under Crow's Nest (location). The slow choir and string melody section plays in the initial cave section, while the electric guitar and percussion play in the savanna outside Crow's Nest. The digital notes would be reused later in the track Farthest Outpost.

It runs for 4 minutes and 37 seconds.
Into Light (1:47) transitions into strings. The main melody enters in an electrical/synth sound (similar to that heard in Infiltrate and We're Done Here) with a quick tempo percussion beat. The synth notes varies in different pitches until the end, where vocals return to end the piece. The piece plays when John-117 reaches where Marcus Stacker's convoy was attacked by the Covenant.
*The first track of this song, Out of Shadow, is a slightly faster remix of Encounter/Broken Gates, from the Halo 2 Soundtrack, heard on the level Outskirts. This melody is heard when you first encounter Hunters, and then again whilst fighting Jackal Snipers, in the infamous 'Sniper Alley'.

Out of Shadow is the seventh track included in Halo 3: Original Soundtrack, and plays during the Halo 3 campaign level Tsavo Highway. It is composed of Out of Shadow and Into Light.
