A group of Marines stand victorious after successfully defending Cairo Station's Hangar A-02 from the Covenant during the Battle of Earth. The R'sisho-pattern Tick boarding craft that the Covenant used to enter can be seen docked to the hangar bay.
Hangar A-02 aboard Cairo Station during the Covenant assault.

Hangar A-02, also known as Hangar Bay B, is a generic United Nations Space Command term for one of the two-story Pelican hangar bays on the port side of an orbital defense platform, such as the Cairo.[1]

Cairo Station Hangar A-02[edit]

During the Battle of Earth, Cairo Station's Hangar A-02 was invaded by Covenant boarders directly. A {{R'sisho-pattern Tick]] had docked and was sending forth waves of Unggoy and Sangheili. Marine defenders were overwhelmed and forced to retreat to the mouth of the bay, where several soldiers equipped with Battle Rifles were under suppressive fire from two plasma cannons manned by Unggoy Heavies on the second floor of the hangar. John-117 then arrived from Hangar A-01, bolstering the Marine forces. The group was able to kill most of the Covenant boarders. Here they were able to witness the destruction of the Athens Station.[1]
