Exterminator is a Halo 3 Meta-Game Achievement. It is earned when the player earns 15,000 points while playing the meta-game on Floodgate. This Achievement gives 10 Gamerpoints to the player.
It is represented by a blue circle with a horned medieval medium-helm, also known as the "Warrior" emblem. The level is aptly named because it is the first level to feature the Flood in Halo 3, and first lets you "exterminate" them. This is most likely the one of the hardest level to get 15,000 points, as it is the shortest level, the Arbiter and Elites can steal valuable points.
The Catch skull has little effect on the Flood, and only the Marines and Elites in the level to get this achievement are affected. Thus, this skull is a good way to multiply your points a little more. And also, since the level is relatively short, it is advised to players to complete the mission within a short time to gain better point multipliers from the timing clock lower right of the screen. Also turn on the Tough Luck, Black Eye (optional) and Fog skulls. If you have played Floodgate before, this should be a proverbial piece of cake.
