McFarlane Toys/Halo 3 Series 4

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

McFarlane's Halo 3 Series 4 include several new figures and armor permutations for Spartans. It is also known as the "Equipment Series", as they include equipment, such as Bubble shields and Trip Mines.

Series 4 packaging is in a new larger blister card. All cards are the same and there is no individual description for each figure. Halo Points are located on a small cardboard piece on the bottom of the plastic bubble.

From this series on, the series are labeled as "Halo" rather than "Halo 3" to include figures from other Halo games.

Campaign

Master Chief

The Series 4 Master Chief action figure is modeled after John-117, the protagonist the Halo trilogy. It comes with a Rocket Launcher and a Bubble shield. This figure, like all other Master Chief figures, has weapon storage on Master Chief's back, waist, and leg. It is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, knees, ankles and feet. The figure is about five inches tall. The figure is worth 10 Halo Points.

It was noted that the Bubble shield was uneven, making it difficult to stand on its own.

Arbiter

This new Arbiter action figure is from The Arbiter in Halo 3. It is made of a clear plastic (to simulate active camouflage) and comes with an equally transparent Energy Sword and Bubble shield. The figure stands 5 1/2 inches tall and is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, waist, hips, knees and ankles.

His hands have been remolded so his fingers are hinged so putting the sword in his hand is easier than the Series 2 version. This figure is worth 25 Halo Points.

Matchmaking

Elite Combat

There was only one color released for the Combat Harness: tan, with yellow detail coloring. It comes armed with a Covenant Carbine and a Grav Lift. It stands 5 1/2 inches tall and is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, waist, hips, knees and ankles. Like all other McFarlane figures, it includes removable armor, so it can be interchanged with other figures. It is worth 10 Halo Points.

This is the only figure in the entire line of McFarlane's Halo toys to have a Carbine. Other figures will sometimes have a Carbine in stock photos, but the final figures are packaged with other weapons.[1]

Spartan EOD

There was only one color for EOD Armor: red, with yellow detail coloring. It comes armed with dual SMGs and a Trip Mine. It stands 5 inches tall and is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, knees, ankles and feet. It is worth 10 Halo Points.

Spartan Hayabusa

The Hayabusa armored Spartans come in two colors: blue and pink. Each figure stands 5 inches tall and is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, knees, ankles and feet.

  • The blue Spartan is armed with dual Maulers and a Power Drain. It is a Wal-Mart exclusive and has yellow detail coloring.
  • The pink Spartan has a Battle Rifle and a Radar Jammer. It is a D&R Lineups exclusive and has white detail coloring.

Both are worth 10 Halo Points.

Spartan Security

Security armor is a new type of armor in the McFarlane series. Unlike other Spartan figures, the Security Spartans have an antenna on their backs that cannot be removed. There are two colors: olive and steel. Each figure stands 5 inches tall and is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Unlike most Series 3 and up Spartans, the Security Spartans do not have trigger-finger hand molds, but rather the closed hand mold that is seen on Series 1 and 2 Spartans. This is most likely to have the Spartans hold their weapons more naturally, though the Maulers are actually more difficult to fit in the closed hand than the trigger-finger hand.

  • The steel Spartan comes armed with a Plasma Pistol, an SMG, and a Trip Mine. It is a GameStop exclusive and has orange detail coloring.
  • The olive Spartan comes with dual Maulers and a Radar Jammer. It has red detail coloring.

Both are worth 10 Halo Points.
