Orpheus is a Halo 3 Meta-Game Achievement. It is earned when the player earns 15,000 points while playing the meta-game on Cortana. This Achievement gives 10 Gamerpoints to the player. The name Orpheus was ancient Greek; in Greece, Orpheus went into the underworld to find his wife and bring her back. In the Halo 3 level Cortana, the Master Chief goes into High Charity (symbolizing the underworld, after it was infested by the Flood) to find Cortana (symbolizing Orpheus's wife).

It is represented by a blue circle with a fist and thunderbolts. It might also be considered one of the hardest achievements to get.
