Deadly Rivers of Water[edit]

Hey, I don't know if I (or my friend) were the only ones who noticed this, but on this level, I noticed that that my shields would drain suddenly when I entered the water, and I knew it would kill me (my avatar). I only noticed this because my left bumper used to activate Armor Abilities was damaged and useless, which prevented me from using the Jetpack to jump over the River, so I was forced to make "hop-jumps" through the river. My friend was able to get it (the controller) replaced since. Has everyone else had this problem too? If so, then maybe someone should add it to the Reclaimer level article. --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 11:34, 18 March 2013 (EDT)Xamikaze330

Yes. Everyone who plays that level will have that problem. Also I don't think that's water. In fact it looks more like acid. There's a better way to skip over it aside from using a jetpack.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:25, 18 March 2013 (EDT)
It's not a bug, it's a feature. You're supposed to wait for the Mammoth to ford it. Considering how innefective it is against players on foot, I assume it's supposed to kill vehicles. I can confirm that it's fatal. Always use the DMR. This is craZboy557, signing off. 19:46, 26 April 2013 (EDT)
I figured as much. Guess we (my friend and I) were going ahead a little faster than we should have. What's with the "Always use the DMR" stuff about? I mean, granted, the M392/M395 DMR is an awesome weapon to use, but why? --Xamikaze330 [Transmit|Files] 19:48, 26 April 2013 (EDT)Xamikaze330

Transcript[edit]

I noticed that Halo Nation (gag) has the full transcript. Would it be possible to copy it over, of course cleaning up some of the prose?Ocean Soul (talk) 16:55, 26 April 2013 (EDT)

I don't see a problem with that, particularly considering how shamelessly they tend to copy our material. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 16:59, 26 April 2013 (EDT)
I will hop on that ASAP, then.Ocean Soul (talk) 17:04, 26 April 2013 (EDT)
What's our policy on the numerous discrepancies between voice and subtitles? Always use the DMR. This is craZboy557, signing off. 19:44, 26 April 2013 (EDT)

In that case we defer to the in-game dialog. If there's a discrepancy between the spoken dialog and the subtitles, we note it after the line. See here for an example involving Jun's love of baking cakes. --Courage never dies. (talk) 19:49, 26 April 2013 (EDT)

I've done what I can, but the transcript still needs a lot of work. Halo Nation's account (aside from having numerous errors and grammar mistakes,) was incomplete, only covering sections of the level.Ocean Soul (talk) 02:19, 27 April 2013 (EDT)

I will be playing through the level tonight here (as in currently,) and writing up a proper transcript. Just wanted to give the general announcement so there's not an error when two people try to submit transcript write-ups.Ocean Soul (talk) 01:22, 29 April 2013 (EDT)

I am finished writing out the transcript of the level in full. All text is relatively as it appears within the gameplay subtitles, save that I've italicized the name of the Infinity, as is common to do with ship names. The only thing that remains is to tag necessary items and vehicles.Ocean Soul (talk) 04:07, 29 April 2013 (EDT)

Consoles/Terminals on the Mammoth[edit]

I was playing the Xbox 360 version of Halo 4 recently on my OG Xbox One, and while reviewing the transcript of this level it said that John can access terminals on the Mammoth. However, I tried going to every computer/console/terminal on the Mammoth but it doesn't give me an option. Can someone explain to me where the terminal/console/whatever thing is? Thank you very much. --EtErNiTy92
