Eyes[edit]

Jul's Arrival to Requem[edit]

It's stated Jul 'Mdama was at the Didact's Cryptum, but there was no Sangheili in blue Zealot Armor, plus with Gek 'Lhar's statement about how he hadn't expected the Didact's Hand so soon, leads me to think that the sangheili who calls the didact's name when John 117 releases him was just an unnamed Sangheili. 343i stating that Jul was in Halo 4 is likely just a retcon. After the game was released, they probably just decided that they wanted to have Jul witness the Didact's awakening. Additionally, he could have been off-screen. And there was six months between Halo 4 and Spartan Ops, so Jul's appearance on Requiem in Episode 3 may have been his first time on the planet since Halo 4. Also Gek's comment could imply that he didn't expect Jul to arrive only at the Librarian's Rest "so soon". - NightHammer (talk) 16:28, 16 January 2015 (EST)

To some extent I can see the opposing argument. Yes, 343 didn't release this footage themselves, but it was clearly authorized by them, otherwise IGN would've been told to take down the video by now. But at the same time, the extent of the footage is so large and plot-changing that it's better to keep it under wraps for now for anybody who wants to experience the first level unspoiled. If 343 were to all of a sudden release the entire story online today, I'd still recommend keeping it off until the official release date, for those who actually want to play the game first. Jul's death date[edit]

Jul leaving the Covenant during the Great Schism.[edit]

It's safe to say that Jul left the Covenant during the Great Schism. Jul is an Elite, as such he was kicked out of the Covenant during the Great Schism like the rest of his species. Even if he wanted to stay, Truth's Brutes would have killed him as ordered. Halopedia even says

Halo Waypoint even says

Furthermore, Jul dropped the "ee" suffix from his name, symbolising that he left the Covenant during the Great Schism.

It is clear that like all Covenant Elites, he left the Covenant. And even if he wanted to stay, he literally couldn't as Truth's order would have him killed. Editorguy (talk) 23:05, 5 July 2016 (EDT)

I am talking about him being in charge of the ship at the end of the war, while yes it is safe to assume it, there is no reason to actually state that he was removed from the Covenant since we have no information of him during the schism (beginning), if we added this we might as well (by we I mean you) add it to every single Sangheili page. The facts of the universe tell us that it would have been impossible for him to stay with Truth ordering the genocide of the Elites, and Jul's removal of the "ee" suffix confirm it. Facts should trump opinions.
