Talk:Canon Fodder

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Sometimes I see parts from articles that are just copy and pasted from Canon Fodder, should we let that be or should it be changed? Alertfiend (talk) 18:50, 11 September 2015 (EDT)

It should be written in the user's own words, not blatantly copied from it. It's somewhat okay if there is no other way to word it effectively, but an entire sentence or paragraph should still not be taken word for word. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 18:55, 11 September 2015 (EDT)
Seconding NightHammer, it's best to not plagiarize.--Spartacus TalkContribs 18:59, 11 September 2015 (EDT)

Q&A submissions[edit]

I know Sith Venator made a list of questions to ask, but it would also be nice to keep a track of our own posts as the thread has become quite big. (40 pages right now) To see what questions other Halopedians have asked, and to make sure we're not asking the same question for example. Mine is here (Grizzlei's post is just above, by the way). Looks like two of mine were answered months ago, better update it.Sith Venator Mega Blastoise.gif (Dank Memes) 18:41, 31 January 2016 (EST)

Reminder to editors[edit]

Remember to use the format of this page to source the canon fodders. Makes things a lil more consistent. :3 -CIA391 (talk) 18:27, 13 May 2016 (EDT)

At this point, we are better off removing the date. 95% of them are sourced this way:
<ref>[url '''Halo Waypoint''': ''Canon Fodder - Name'']</ref>
Personally, that's the way I've been formatting it. I've been going by what it is called. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 19:46, 13 May 2016 (EDT)
