Nouveau Montreal (English: New Montreal) is a human colony. UNSC Major Kyle Stallock came out from Nouveau Montreal in 2553 when he went to the star system home of the small colony of Losing Hand.

Trivia

Named after the Canadian city of Montreal in the United Republic of North America, the planet's first settlers were evidently French-speaking colonists.
