Moran was a Commissioned officer serving the UNSC Navy, serving as the leader of the UNSC Saturn's Hellbringer division.
Biography[edit]
On October 9, five days after the outbreak of Flood on LV-31, Moran would be among 193 of the Saturn's marines, security staff and some officers assembled in the hanger by Anwar Shafiq under orders of Captain Pedro Alvarez to receive a special address. During which, Alvarez told them that he had received orders from FLEETCOM and that they were to leave the Marcey system with all aside from essential personnel to be put into cryosleep.
However, the assembled crew would not be convinced, gradually becoming more and more angry and distrusting the more discrepancies they found in Alvarez's story. Eventually, Moran spoke out, accusing Alvarez of trying to escape the consequences of his actions at Site 22. When Shafiq revealed to the assembled crew the potential that some of the Flood at Site 22 had escaped aboard a Slipspace-capable Condor, Moran would rally the crew to turn on their Captain, stick him in a Cryo chamber and send him back to Earth to face punishment for his actions. As they passed out weapons and ammo, Alvarez had the rear hatch of the hanger bay opened. Moran shouted for everyone in the hanger to climb, but it was in vain as all 193 personnel would be sucked into the vacuum of space.[1]
