Miridem was a human Inner Colony world of the Unified Earth Government, though the colony was comparatively smaller to those in the Sol and Epsilon Eridani systems.[1] In 2544, the Covenant invaded the world. In the battle that ensued, Spartan-II Sheila-065 was killed by the Sangheili Major Thel 'Lodamee and Doctor Catherine Halsey was eventually taken hostage.[2] Although United Nations Space Command forces had put up a good fight during the battle, Miridem was ultimately glassed by the Covenant and declared lost.[3]
Lance Corporal Morton, having previously lived on Eridanus II, lived on Miridem before evacuating to Minister.[4]
