Laser Kill

Laser Kill is a Medal awarded in Halo 3 for killing an enemy with the Spartan Laser weapon, awarded for any kill with the Laser (other than melees) due to the unwieldy charge time and precise accuracy it takes to destroy a target with the weapon. It is represented by a gray octagon with a black circle that in turn has a red dot in the center. As this medal is awarded, a message appears on the screen, saying "You lasered (player)".

Trivia

• This medal bears a strong resemblance to the viewing port of Hal 9000, an AI from the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey"; it has a dark circle with a single red dot in the center.
• The "You lasered (player)" seems to be glitched, because, sometimes, when someone on your team lasers an opponent, it just says they have killed them, and this is with nothing explosive nearby, just the laser shot through the target.
• When lasering someone, there is a very small chance that you seem to get two laser kill medals, but when you look at the post game carnage report, it shows that you recieved one laser kill medal (unnoticable if you have lasered more than one person in the game)
• You can also get this medal by Lasering (and thus destroying) and enemy's vehicle while they're in it. (an easy way to get multiples of this medal is to destroy a vehicle with multiple passengers with the laser, you will get one for each person in the destroyed vehicle)
• The medal resembles the barrel of the weapon with the red dot being the charged laser.
• You can get the laser medal by lasering a Vehicle and not hitting the person inside the target.
