The energy stave is a Covenant ceremonial melee weapon. It is used exclusively by the Honor Guard Sangheili and Jiralhanae and Lights of Sanghelios. It is a long metal staff, and has a forked tip with a series of glowing panels.[1][2] While regular Honor Guardsmen use more elaborate staves featuring ornate panels similar in color to the glowing armor panels of their wielders, Sangheili Minors assigned to guard duties have been known to wield more ascetic versions of these weapons with more simplistic, blue-glowing panels.[3]
