The Chancel of Recovery was a large, hemispherical room located in a tower within the Tower Districts in the center of the Covenant holy city of High Charity. The room served as a San'Shyuum healing and meditation facility. Herbs used as soft ointments for San'Shyuum skin and lung tissue were vaporized and spread throughout the room, though the herbs had no narcotic properties. The herbs were not cultivated for Sangheili biology, and it was frowned upon by the San'Shyuum and Sangheili for members of the latter species to be found within a healing facility, such as the Chancel of Recovery.[1]

Around November 2, 2552, the Prophet of Clarity met with Commander G'torik 'Klemmee in the Chancel of Recovery, claiming that the Sangheili was checking on the Prophet's well-being. However, Clarity had reserved the room to discuss the High Prophet of Truth's schemes. He warned G'torik that Truth intended to replace the Sangheili with the Jiralhanae in the Covenant Honor Guard, give command of the Covenant military to Tartarus, and ultimately make the Sangheili subservient to the Jiralhanae.[2]
