Halo: Mortal Dictata will be the third and last novel in the Kilo-Five Trilogy by Karen Traviss, and a direct follow-up to Halo: The Thursday War. It will be released in January 2014.[1]

Trivia
- The name of the novel is a reference to the UN Colonial Mortal Dictata, a piece of legislation associated with the ethics of medical science. Dr. Catherine Halsey broke the Dictata on several occasions, namely when flash cloning functioning human brain.[2]
