Template:Infobox Military Unit The 105th Drop Jet Platoon was a platoon of marines in the UNSCDF.^[1]

The 105th Drop Jet Platoon saw action against the Covenant Army during the Battle of Jericho VII in February 2535 where it was overrun and obliterated by a force of a thousand Unggoy soldiers.

The unit's annihilation would later be avenged when the offending Unggoy were eliminated by SPARTAN-IIs, led by Chief Petty Officer John-117, in the continuing skirmishes of Jericho VII.

As platoons are not given permanent numerical designations, it is likely that the 105th was in fact the "105th's drop jet platoon", although a division would reasonably have more than one such unit.
Although it is generally assumed that the 105th Drop Jet Platoon was an ODST unit due to its title, there is no evidence that they were ODSTs. They could have been parachutists equipped with parafoils instead. This is supported by the fact that the UNSC Army, and apparently the Marine Corps, field airborne units.^[2]
