Voi Municipal Water Pump House 03

Voi Municipal Water Pump House 03 is a municipal pumping station in the hills west of the industrial town of Voi, Kenya, located along and above the Tsavo Highway.[1] It is a part of a continent-wide water supply system that carries meltwater from Mount Kilimanjaro,[2] being one of a few pumping stations responsible for Voi's water supply. There is a chain-link gate that can close the highway.
History[edit]
Prior to the Battle of Earth, Voi Municipal Water Pump House 03 was undergoing maintenance or construction, as two subterranean pipes diverging from the main pipeline are unearthed, some sections haphazardly covered with plates of grating.[1]
During the Covenant's prolonged invasion of Earth, the Prophet of Truth's Jiralhanae-led forces guarding the perimeter of the Excession established an outpost near the pumping station to keep any human forces at bay. On November 17, 2552, the pump house became the site of engagement as UNSC Marines pushed towards Voi after the destruction of the UNSC airbase Crow's Nest, led by Spartan John-117. The humans eventually clear out the pumping station.[1]
