Early life
Spartan-A297 was born on Harvest in the year 2510, just ten years prior to Humanity's first encounter with The Covenant in 2525. Not much else is known about Spartan-A297's life prior to The Covenant's attack on Harvest in 2525. During the Battle for Harvest, both of Spartan-A297's parents would be killed by an Elite Zealot known as Zai 'Udame. During the encounter, the Sangheili's shield would overload giving Spartan-A297 enough time to plunge a combat knife into the elite's jaw before being kicked into a wall and losing consciousness. Spartan-A297 was later found lying unconscious by a squad of local militia, whereupon he was evacuated off of the planet and sent to a medical facility on Reach to receive treatment for multiple fractured ribs.
Recruitment
While on Reach, Spartan-A297 was approached by a recruiter for the spartan-III Program, like everyone else who had been offered a spot in the program Spartan-A297 was given the opportunity to avenge his family, he accepted the offer without hezitation. Spartan-A297 quickly rose through the ranks of the recruits and was pulled out of the main pool of spartan-III's just prior to Operation: PROMETHEUS. Spartan A-297, like Spartan-B312 was employed as a lone wolf operator and was a test pilot for the highly classified Sabre Program just prior to The Battle of Reach.
Service Record
Spartan-A297 was a part of multiple campaigns and operations throughout and following the Human-Covenant War the most notable of these being: The Battle of Reach, The Defense of Earth, The Battle for The Ark, and several minor incursions after the end of the Covenant war as well as The Infinity's fateful expedition to Zeta Halo in late 2559.
Reach
Spartan-A297 served on Reach in 2552. He was originally assigned to The UNSC Last Patriot, a Halberd-class light destroyer. The Patriot was given orders to defend the orbital Magnetic Accelerator Canons. He was eventually assigned to the combat group that aided in the defense of Anchor 9 in preparation forOperation: UPPER CUT. After the destruction of The Long Night of Solace at the hands of Jorge-052 and the arrival of the Fleet of Particular Justice under the command of Thel 'Vadam, the spartan was given command of multiple ODST squads and a Smart AI, designate ATLAS. He was then given orders to destroy several covenant anti-air emplacements and then proceed to ONI SWORD base facility for a torch and burn. The spartan completed the mission but lost several of the ODST fireteams under his command. A297 was evacuated off planet by the UNSC Last Patriot just prior to its glassing by The Covenant.
The Battle for Earth
Spartan-A297 would be a part of a longsword detachment in orbit when the Prophet of Regret began his attack on Earth on October 20, 2552. The spartan would defend critical orbital MAC systems until the destruction of The Day of Jubilation at the hands of The Master Chief and until The Prophet of Regret's flagship, Solemn Penance managed push through the UNSC blockade. Solemn Penance would take up position over the city of New Mombasa, and Spartan-A297 would be sent groundside to assist with the evacuation. When Solemn Penance entered slipspace while still inside earths gravitational field, The spartan would survive the ensuing chaos, and would be sent to assist The UNSC Last Patriot in clearing out remaining covenant forces in the sol system.
The Ark Conflict
When the portal for the Ark was accessed and opened by the Prophet of Truth, the spartan would be reassigned as a pilot to the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn. The spartan would be heavily involved in the battle over the Ark, until his ship would be shot down over the installation by a Kai-pattern Seraph. having survived the crash, the spartan would reunite with UNSC forces on the forerunner installation just prior to the arrival of The flood aboard the infected High Charity. The Spartan would be evacuated just prior to the tactical pulse of the replacement for Installation 04, and the subsequent disappearance of The Master Chief.
Post War
After the end of the Human-Covenant war, The spartan would assist in several campaigns against remnant covenant forces, the most prominent of these being the sect of covenant lead by Jul 'Mdama. During the years after the war the spartan would also be assigned to the UNSC Infinity, and would be present at the Requiem campaign as well as Earth during Cortana's attack in 2558.
Zeta Halo
The Spartan would be aboard the UNSC Infinity during its fateful mission to Zeta Halo. Both Infinity and the ring have since disappeared from known space; Infinity and her crew have since been declared MIA.
