Tyrrhen was the capital city of the human outer colony world of Boundary. It was also the most developed settlement in Boundary's thin habitable band.[1]

Geography[edit]
The city had a fenced perimeter with nearly two dozen gates built into this fencing at specific intervals with Gate Lipari being the northernmost of them.[2] The city had two main roadways and a four-story building was the tallest building there[3] withe the layout being random.
Beyond the walls, the countryside right outside the city contained mostly farming structures and cattle paddocks. To the west of the city were mountains.[4]

The planet was the host site of a Lithos for the Domain, but over millennia it was buried.[5]
Postwar[edit]

On December 14, 2559, Banished ships entered the airspace above Tyrrhen.[1] The Banished quickly placed artillery around the perimeter of the city[6] and set-up an orbital shell above it.[5] Banished ground forces began destroying parts of the urban area, killing any remaining civilians while deploying about a hundred of their own structures. 8,000 troops from the Vanguard of Zaladon alone, were deployed into the settlement.[3]
UNSC forces, Banished, and Covenant forces were all after the Lithos under the city.[5] The Banished and the Covenant would soon come to blows for ideological reasons, turning the city into a three-way warzone.[7] On December 15, the UNSC Victory of Samothrace managed to get a clear shot at Tyrrhen firing two Magnetic Accelerator Cannon shots at the city[8] leveling it and destroying the Lithos completely.[9]
