Talk:Self-destruct

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Notable?[edit]

Seems like we've gotten a bit too in-depth with every detail of the game. By the look of it, the article is created because the uploader who found these texture images thought that they are worthy of having an article. I really don't see how this article is really notable of having its own article though. Can someone provide a better explanation of why this article should stay? :/ — subtank 03:45, 10 December 2012 (EST)

I thought it was noteworthy because it was noted in the Cole Protocol as being required. Felt that was reason enough to create the article. But, to be honest, asking why this article should stay is like asking if the Energy shield test station article should stay. Why not just keep it? --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 12:02, 10 December 2012 (EST)Xamikaze330

I think this is a worthwhile page, since self-destructs have often been a part of Halo's storylines. However, this page needs to be expanded to cover those instances. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 17:22, 10 December 2012 (EST)

On this, I agree. We do need more examples of when the self-destruct is used. --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 17:25, 10 December 2012 (EST)Xamikaze330
Similar views to Tucker. If more instances can be added I think it will be worthy of a page.--Spartacus TalkContribs 17:36, 10 December 2012 (EST)
How about Fermion Station? I know they had to implement the Cole Protocol and self-destruct. I'd do it right now, except I can't think of the exact circumstances off the top of my head. I'll try to get to it as soon as I can, unless someone else beats me to it. Better if someone else did it now. --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 18:45, 10 December 2012 (EST)Xamikaze330
There's also the The Heart of Midlothian, the attempted overload of In Amber Clad, and the destruction of High Charity. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 18:49, 10 December 2012 (EST)
Everything but the last one, which doesn't really relate to the Cole Protocol. --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 18:55, 10 December 2012 (EST)Xamikaze330

Just wondering, would the destruction of the Crow's Nest in Halo 3 count as another instance in which the Cole Protocol was enacted? Also, are there any other possible instances we should know about? --Xamikaze330 [Transmission|Commencing] 16:32, 6 July 2013 (EDT)Xamikaze330
